LEMOORE — Four mixed martial arts fights have been signed for the Palace Fighting Championship’s March 22nd card at the Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino in Lemoore.

Ultimate Fighting Championship veteran Wes “The Project” Sims will headline an action-packed card that will feature several local fighters.

Sims (17-8-1) will meet Tulare’s Anthony Fuller (1-2) in a 3-round, heavyweight bout.

Also set for March is a welterweight bout between Porterville’s Morris Aldaco and Taft’s Doug Hunt (1-0). Visalia’s Darren Crisp (3-1) will battle Bakersfield’s Josh McCartney (1-0) in a lightweight fight and Oroville’s Shawn Bias (9-3) squares off with Chico’s Randy Pence (10-7) at 145 pounds.

“On the heels of our successful debut show, we are pleased to officially announce the first four matches that have been signed for PFC 2 which will take place live at the Tachi Palace Hotel & Casino on Thursday night March 22nd,” Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino Entertainment Director Christian Printup said. “These four fights promise to provide fireworks and they are just the tip of the iceberg. These are great matches and in the PFC ring with three-three minute rounds you can expect the crowd to be on the edge of their seat for the duration of these four matches.”

Sims was in attendance at PFC1 on Jan. 18th and was pleased with the venue.

“I like this show. It’s a great setup,” Sims said. “For this being the first show, I’m very happy with the number of people here. If I had to rate this promotion on a scale of 1-10, I’d give it a 10 for a small show. If it keeps growing, I think it will be a great big show.”

That night easily one of the crowd favorites was Bias, who Stockton’s Brandon Jinnies by technical knockout in 1:36 of the first round.

“I’m very excited to be coming back,” Bias said. “It was a great show. The fans can expect all kinds of craziness. Expect another good show. I know Spence is a tough fighter and he has some tough losses. I think it’s going to be a fun fight.”

Tickets will go on sale on Feb. 19th and will be priced at $20, $30 and $40. You can purchase tickets at the Tachi Palace gift shop or by calling 1-866-4-PALACE. Tickets are also available in Fresno at New Era Martial Arts and Pacific martial Arts and in Hanford at the Valley Fight Club.

VIP Seats are available to members of the Tachi Palace’s Premier Club, a free, rewards based Player Club system. Interested parties are encouraged to see a Guest Service Representative at the Tachi Palace Hotel & Casino for more information.

The Palace also features the only 4-diamond rated hotel between The Bay and LA. And offers special mid-week rates that allow for guests to not only enjoy a great night of mixed martial arts action, but stay in a luxurious hotel room, enjoy a wonderful dinner at one of three restaurants and make a total night of it. The Hotel features 255 rooms, a full service spa and health club, complimentary valet service, a beautiful heated pool, a new Wet bar and beautiful original pieces of art.

“Once we announce some of the other matches, it's going to take the PFC to the next level in a hurry. There is a tremendous amount of talent on this card,” Printup said.
